MidCentral SAATS covers the MidCentral and Whanganui regions. This includes:
Manawatu (Palmerston North, Ashhurst)
Whanganui City and outlying areas
Horowhenua (Levin, Otaki),
Tararua (Dannevirke, Pahiatua)
Rangitikei & Waimarino and Waiouru Wards (Feilding, Bulls, Ohakune, Taihape, Waiouru).
Our clinicians are trained also in NFSS (non-fatal suffocation and strangulation) assessment and provide these assessments in the context of sexual assault. MidCentral SAATS are currently able to provide NFSS assessments for Police Family Harm teams on referral. For Inter-SAATS referrals, email SAATS@cresthospital.co.nz.
