Join a MEDSAC working group

Piri mai ki tētahi rōpū mahi o MEDSAC

If you’re a MEDSAC affiliate or associate you’re welcome to express interest in joining one of our working groups, and contribute to our mahi.

Our working groups

Our success as an organisation is the direct result of the community’s involvement in our mahi, particularly as part of our working groups. These groups deliver important clinical advice, training and support to the wider community of professionals who help people affected by sexual assault or abuse, and non-fatal strangulation and/or suffocation.

We currently have six active working groups that members of our community can become part of.

  1. Education Content Development and Events

  2. Manual

  3. Mentoring, Accreditation and Quality

  4. Publications

  5. Research and Clinical Surveys

  6. Supporting SAATS and NFSSAS Contracted Services

Working groups generally meet online four times a year, and members of the group agree to an initial two-year tenure. If there are no available places on a working group, applicants will go on a waiting list until a spot becomes free.
