Our working groups
Our success as an organisation is the direct result of the community’s involvement in our mahi, particularly as part of our working groups. These groups deliver important clinical advice, training and support to the wider community of professionals who help people affected by sexual assault or abuse, and non-fatal strangulation and/or suffocation.
We currently have six active working groups that members of our community can become part of.
Education Content Development and Events
Manual
Mentoring, Accreditation and Quality
Publications
Research and Clinical Surveys
Supporting SAATS and NFSSAS Contracted Services
Working groups generally meet online four times a year, and members of the group agree to an initial two-year tenure. If there are no available places on a working group, applicants will go on a waiting list until a spot becomes free.
Getting involved
If you’re part of the MEDSAC community and you’d like to get involved with one of our working groups, we’d love to hear from you. We welcome expressions of interest from anyone who could contribute their time and energy to our mahi. If you’d like more information on how to get involved, please get in touch.
We also post any available places on our working groups on our vacancies page.
