This in-person training day provides an opportunity for networking, in-person support and discussion about service delivery including perspectives from other experts working in the area of non-fatal strangulation/suffocation.

This course is open to:

All Police Medical Officers. SAATS clinicians holding current MEDSAC sexual assault accreditation who:

  1. are intending the complete the mentoring requirements for accreditation in NFSS within the context of a sexual assault

  2. have completed a minimum of one NFSS within sexual assault examination.

NFSSAS contracted clinicians holding current MEDSAC sexual assault accreditation who are intending to complete the mentoring requirements for accreditation in NFSS assessments

MEDSAC will contact the lead clinician of your local SAATS/NFSS service before confirming your spot, so please ensure your local SAATS can support you in this work before applying. We have a maximum of 20 attendees, and this session is open to those who have previously attended.

Prerequisites

Attendees need to complete the three preliminary NFSS eLearning modules (Modules 1 - 3) before attending the event.
