2026 Training Course in the Assessment of Suspected Sexual Abuse in Children & Adolescents (ASAC)

9am to 5pm, Thursday 5th and Friday 6th March 2026

This course is run by Te Puaruruhau, the multi-disciplinary team of Starship Children’s Health which provides 24/7 sexual assault services to children and young people throughout metropolitan Auckland. The course provides high quality training for any medical practitioner, nurse or allied health professional who provides (or intends to provide) clinical services in this area. The ASAC course is one of the prerequisites for MEDSAC accreditation to provide SAATS services to children and young people in Aotearoa.

The live two-day course can be attended either virtually or in person and is preceded by 30 hours of online pre-learning
