MEDSAC National Update | Manaaki Tangata

Rongo kōrero ā-motu a MEDSAC | Manaaki Tangata

We run conference-style sessions for Sexual Abuse Assessment and Treatment Services (SAATS) and Non-fatal Strangulation and Suffocation Assessment Services (NFSSAS) clinicians who have completed our ITFT programme and NFSS training.

Waiho i te toipoto, kaua i te toiroa.
Let us keep close together, not wide apart.

MEDSAC National Update | Manaaki Tangata is a conference-style hui that provides an opportunity for clinicians to meet kanohi ki te kanohi, to connect, and come together. It offers a chance to peer review cases, share resources, and find support, as well as a range of wellbeing and connection initiatives.

Who it’s for

MEDSAC National Update | Manaaki Tangata is for clinicians (doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses) who:

  • have attended previous MEDSAC medical training courses (or an equivalent)

  • are currently seeing referred patients for alleged sexual assault and/or non-fatal strangulation and/or suffocation.

Location

In-person sessions are held in Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington.
